SUPPLIES
- sweater
- fabric paint
- circle sponge
- tape

1. tape off the seems // 2. create a grid with the tape // 3. load your sponge up with paint // 4. make polka dots in every other row // 5. remove vertical tape strips and stagger the dots in the remaining rows so they’re not all lined up // 6. remove the tape
Let the paint sit for the allotted time – mine was three days – before washing. I washed mine inside out, on delicate, in cold water, inside one of the mesh bags for lingerie, then hung it up to dry, and I didn’t have any issues with the paint washing off.

So happy to finally own a polka dot sweater. Even happier to be able to tell people that I made it!
How fun is this! the polka-dots are so cheerful! I can't believe you MADE these!
