This probably wont come as any surprise, but I love sweaters and I love lace. It was only a matter of time before I put the two together.
SUPPLIES
- sweater (I got mine at Goodwill for a few bucks)
- lace
- scissors/rotary cutter
- pins
- needle and thread
1. cut squares of lace big enough to fit over the shoulders of your sweater // 2. determine how much lace you want on the front and back and pin the lace to the shoulder seem (I outlined the seem in red to make it easier to see) // 3. sew the lace to the seem // 4. trim the lace to fit around the collar and arm seems, hem/pin the edges, and sew to the sweater (seem outlined in red)
I love how this DIY turned out! I washed it on delicate and hung it to dry and all of my hand stitching held up. I was pleased.

Your sweater looks great - and I love that it started as a Goodwill sweater.
