I completely shattered the back of my phone. It met its fate with bathroom floor all because I had to get up to pee at 2 in the morning. Curse you tiny bladder!

Thankfully, the phone still works fine. I just need to keep a case on it to keep from cutting my fingers.

On a happier note, I got around to doing some projects and decorating around the apartment.

We went to a little jazz concert put on by a local college. Doesn’t Andrew look thrilled that I wanted to stop and take a picture?

Mini Hogwarts! The family of some of our friends were participating in a fan run Harry Potter event near Cincinnati and asked if we’d like to check it out. There were people in costume and different shows and “classes” were being performed. It was a lot of fun and I plan on doing a whole post about it later.

I helped out with a friend’s baby shower. She and her husband aren’t finding out the baby’s gender so we got to decorate pumpkins to guess whether it will be a boy or a girl.

I might have had a little too much fun preparing Hugo for Halloween this year…

So, that’s sort of what’s been going on this past month. What you don’t see in these pictures though, is all of the struggles and stress we’ve been going through not just over the last month, but the past year and even before that.

I know I don’t talk much about my personal life on here, but I think I’ve mentioned before how Andrew lost his security clearance a while back. Without it, it’s almost impossible to get a government job which he has to have in order to fulfill his grad school contract and not go into debt an additional $100,000. That’s been an ongoing issue for the past year, but crap just keeps piling up on top of that and this continuous stream of bad news has led to stress induced medical problems that we’re still trying to sort out. And now we have to move out in less than two months even though we have no idea where we’ll go or if he’ll even have a job.

Normally I can just block out the negativity, stay optimistic, and not worry, but I seemed to have hit my limit a while ago and I just shut down. I guess that’s why I’ve been a little absent the past month and a half. I don’t like getting into the nitty gritty details of my life, but I wanted to give some sort of explanation as to what’s been going on.

Life is just one heapin’ hot mess right now, but I’m starting to get out of my funk and get back to working on business and blog stuff. I have a lot of things I want to share and fun ideas that I’m anxious to try out so I’m hoping to back in full swing soon. Until then, thanks for baring with me.
