Lest I forget what happened in my life during my blogging hiatus, here are some highlights from the first half of 2015:
Hugo was as cute as ever!
And he got a big brother named Westley!
Took an adventure down to Mike’s Place in Kent where they have an X-Wing parked out front.
Made some priceless works of art at Five Guys.
My hair went through some changes. The most recent being the dark to light blonde ombre with bangs. I’m still on the fence with this style though. The color is fine, and I love the way the bangs look when my hair is up, but I don’t know what to do with it when it’s down. I’m not sure if I’m just not used to the length so it seems weird to me or if it needs some layers or something, but the style just seems a bit off to me. I don’t know. Maybe I’m crazy. What do you think?
Celebrated my dad’s 56th birthday.
I helped throw a sushi themed surprise birthday party for a friend. There was a build your own sushi bar and “dessert sushi” (cut up Boston Crème Rolls and Strawberry Swiss Rolls). I even made some mini cupcakes and decorated them to look like sushi using edible paper, sprinkles, and various candies.
Took a mini road trip with my favorite people.
We went to a Jon Foreman show in Cincinnati, which was spectacular!
The next day we went to an adult Harry Potter fan meet up (the same group that ran the Harry Potter Weekend that I went to a couple years ago) and participated in some Quidditch training. It was raining so the actual Quidditch game was canceled, but we did plenty of competitive indoor training. Not to brag or anything, but I totally brought home the golden snitch for my Slytherin team. There was also a broom decorating contest (mine was the “Flying Feline” and decorated with cat stickers of course), trivia, and games. It was a lot of fun and so great to meet new people who are just as crazy about the Harry Potter fandom as us!
Andrew made his mom a birthday cake from scratch all on his own and it was beautiful!
The boys put together a special little something for Father’s Day. Aren’t they cute?
